My first real job was a cook at a local diner, the place where we would take home the extra meal money. My next job was at a local coffee shop, and then I became a barista. I always had a big smile, always been polite, always made friends fast and easy, always tried to make people happy, and always did my best to get to know the people in my place. I was never a pushover, but I always wanted to be. I never made any threats to the people around me, but I did not act like I was afraid.
