More than 30 million people, the majority of them in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, are married to five or more men and have their husbands as their spiritual leader, and to be precise the prophet of Islam. Muhammad, the father of Islam and its spiritual leader, was the fourth son of Muhammad american muslim marriage website ibn Ishaq, a native of Mecca and a leader of the tribe nation of islam charlotte nc of Ali. Ali ibn Abi Talib, the third son of Muhammad, married four women and bore two of his own children. His sister's name was Fatima, and her husband's name was Ali. The other three sons, Ali, Yusuf, and Ali bin Abi Talib, married six other women and bore six of their own children. Two of these children married and had one son with each of the three other wives. Two of the sons, Abdullah and Muhammad bin Ali, were in prison, but one was still married. So it should be said, that these marriages were not legal, and they were the result of the will of Allah. All of these marriages, however, were recognized by the Qur'an and the Sunnah, and it was clear that each of the wives was being chosen from among her people, and not by the Prophet.
It is a great irony that so many of the Qur'anic verses on marriage and polygyny are so clear and concise. For example, Allah has this to say: (And of those you give in marriage, don't take any of them for your son: because whoever of you takes a wife of whom there is a previous marriage, then his brother or his sister in law (in law) will become divorced from her: so fear Allah!) (4:3) This is a very interesting verse to read because we are not actually talking about taking a wife in the Qur'an. This is a reference to the Hadith which are reports of the life of the Prophet. The Hadith is generally accepted by modern Muslims as accurate and has been taken to be the Qur'anic word of the Prophet. However, there are a few serious problems with the Hadith and the Qur'anic teaching about polygyny and marriage in general. Firstly, the Qur'an doesn't say anything about the Hadith at all, only that the Hadith is authentic and it is a fact that men and women married to one another had been to the Prophet. There is also no mention of polygyny at all in the Qur'an either. The Hadith, therefore, is a statement of fact, not revelation. Secondly, many of bbwcupid.com login the Hadith are reported from the Prophet's companions who had been to him and known about him. This includes Hadrat Mu'adh bin asalamalakum response Jabal and Hadrat Ubayy bin Ka'b, both of whom were from the tribe of Banu Al-As. These companions had been married to women from their own tribe and had a great deal of knowledge about their own tribe. Hadrat Mu'adh was a famous companion of the Prophet who had married his own daughter, Hadrat Mu'adh bint Abi Bakr, to Mu'awiyah ibn Jaz'ah and Hadrat Mu'awiyah's son, Hadrat Zayd ibn Ubayy, to Hadrat Anas ibn Malik. Hadrat Anas, of course, was one of the companions of the Prophet, and was the son of Hadrat Jabir bin Abdullah Al-Ansari and Hadrat Salama bin Abi Salama. Hadrat Salama had a daughter, Hadrat Zainab bint Abi Salama Al-Ash'ari. As for Hadrat Mu'awiyah, the Hadith report about him being married to his brother-in-law, Uthman ibn Affan Al-Husayn, is reported by some of his companions and is considered authentic. The Hadith has also been reported to be authentic by the companions of Al-Tabari, Al-Bayhaqi, Ibn Al-Haytham and Ibn Hibban. I am sure that this Hadith is well known in our day and age but the truth of it is that we cannot agree about it, for there were many women of the tribe of Ansar, and the Hadith of the Prophet was not revealed until the latter part of the 10th year of Hijrah. There are other Hadith that were revealed later and that would also have been revealed before the Hijrah. The Prophet's companions believed in dating sites in sacramento all the traditions, even the most difficult ones. So, it is a matter of dispute whether this Hadith is authentic.
So, we are not arguing that the Prophet's companions did not consider the Hadith to be authentic. What we are arguing about is the nature of the revelation that was revealed. When you read the first few sentences of the Hadith, you may feel as if it would be difficult for anyone to comprehend the concept of polygamy, or polygamy in general. In fact, a number of the words in the Hadith have different meanings depending on who you ask. The Prophet himself said, "Whoever had two wives, I will give him one of my two wives" (Bukhari) In another Hadith, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "No man had sex with a woman but the woman had not given her consent" (Sahih al-Bukhari) In the last part of the Hadith, we have the statement "If a woman is not willing malaysia cupid for sexual intercourse with her husband, then she can seek for her husband a substitute" (Sahih al-Bukhari) The meaning of the word "manumission" is clear from the above statements: a man can use a substitute wife; a woman can request a husband to have a substitute wife.
