Sydney, Australia is a multicultural city. It's one of the most multicultural cities in the world. The country is quite religious. And we have many cultural minorities living here. And we have a lot of different races. We have the Lebanese and Palestinians and Iraqis and Pakistanis. We also have some of the Chinese. But most of the people living here are muslims. The majority of the muslim population here is Sunni, which is another big country. And in this country we don't allow drinking alcohol. So, I would say this country is very muslim and I'm just a small minority of people who are muslim, so this is not a big problem, but it is a very serious problem.

What's your opinion of gay men?

I have no opinion on that. It's a personal matter. It's my private matter. People are free to do what they want to do, as long as it doesn't affect anyone else. If a woman does something bad to another woman, that does affect others. It has nothing to do with the woman's religion.

How do you feel about people who take pictures or videos of you?

We don't ask, don't ask. We don't even know, we don't know. It's not a good thing, so we don't do it. But we have no idea about it. There are a lot of different kinds of women that are not allowed to be photographed, or they're not allowed to speak. And some women are being killed in Syria. You can't speak, or you are a spy. So we don't have any pictures of that kind.

Why do you think they are taking photos of you? If you don't have anything to hide, you have nothing to fear.

It is very difficult to be a muslim. I think it's about power. It's about the government not allowing us to speak freely, so they put a lot of restrictions in the way we can dress, and what we wear, or if we talk to each other. That is why I can't wear any hijab. This is a matter of life and death for us, because they believe they can make you into a terrorist.

Are you worried that your religion will come into conflict with the laws of the United States? There are already laws in place. These laws have already been made in the United States.

The fact that it is even legal is a very good sign. We have had a good amount of freedom. But they want to make us follow the same laws, just like everyone else.

What are the differences between ISIS, Al-Qaeda, and Hezbollah? What is the difference between Hezbollah and Hezbollah? I think that the difference between ISIS and Hezbollah is that ISIS believes that Islam is a state religion and that Islam and Islamism are two different ideologies. Hezbollah is a different ideology.

Is there anything different that ISIS and Hezbollah have in common? You know when someone says, "You don't like it here," I think he's probably just being sarcastic. In that situation, he's just being mean. Hezbollah is the movement of Islam; ISIS is a movement of Islam. So, if someone says, "I don't like the Islamic State or Hezbollah, but I do like the Muslim Brotherhood," I would say, "Well, then you're not a Muslim, you're an anti-Muslim, you're a fascist, and you're an American-hater." I mean, look at how he looks at the Muslim Brotherhood. But, you know, that's just an example. There is nothing that's different. In Hezbollah's case, the whole goal is to destroy Israel, to exterminate Israel and the Jewish people, and to destroy the State of Israel. That's what they're all about.

JUAN GONZÁLEZ: And, of course, you've described yourself as a Jew. How does that shape your relationships? I mean, as you know, there are very few Jews in the United States. How do you— how do you approach dating in a way that is both respectful and attractive to this group of people? JUAN GONZÁLEZ: Well, I think—I think it's really just a matter of—you know, I think what we're trying to do— JUAN GONZÁLEZ: The way that you're talking about dating is that you're trying to approach—you've made a very interesting point, which sex dating bristol is the Jewish tradition is based on being—you know, being a man and not having to be a woman. And, you know, there are a number of things that have to be done in order for a man to be able to approach the Jewish tradition of being a woman and not be a man. And, you know, I was just reading an article in The New Yorker about an artist named Ayaan Hirsi Ali who was—she was recently criticized, but she was criticized for saying, you know, "Women's rights are human rights," and, you know, saying, "I think that, as a woman, you have the right to say no and say no to being a victim." That's—that was a particularly controversial statement. Ayaan Hirsi Ali is a Muslim. The reason for that is because she is a devout Muslim, who, you know, is very—a scholar of Islamic history. But she's a woman. And she's also a Muslim. And, you know, I think that there is a lot to be said for, you know, trying to have a conversation with a woman, trying to be an ally, trying to be a friend to a woman who has, you know, a very different set of experiences than you do. And, you know, what she said was very very valid.

She really was saying that, you know, you have a duty, a moral duty, you know, to understand what a Muslim woman's experience is, because—not in an offensive way, but I believe in understanding other cultures. But she said, there are so many things that I do that are not compatible with Islam.
