According to a 2013 poll by the University of Waterloo, nearly three out of four Canadians are in favour of Sharia law being implemented within their country. The poll, which was taken in the wake of a series of Islamic terrorist attacks that killed more than 150 people, also revealed that Canadians believe that the Canadian government should be more accepting of Muslims, particularly those from sweedish men Muslim backgrounds.
However, this poll doesn't tell the entire story. The poll is only based on responses to a generic question about Islam being applied to Canada, and there is one very important distinction between the Canadian Muslims and all other Muslim Canadians. For instance, there are many Canadians of Muslim background who have no intention of applying Sharia law, and instead believe in the principles of Canada's founding documents, which are secular, and which, as outlined in our Constitution, state that "freedom of thought, belief and uae girls opinion shall not be prohibited."
This fact alone is one of the primary reasons many Canadians are uncomfortable with the presence of Islam in Canada. Islam is not a part of Canada's foundational document, and many Canadians, including those who support a moderate Islam, find it unacceptable to have any involvement with Islamic fundamentalists. This also explains why Muslims, who comprise the majority of Canada's population, are so unwilling edmonton muslim to join the Canadian government in establishing a mosque. It is, therefore, only fair that those of Islamic background be given a chance to express their opinions in a non-judgmental manner.
Yet, the poll also reveals that Canadians are uncomfortable with being asked, in this poll, if they would be comfortable giving sex dating bristol their home address to a muslim. While some will see this as an affront to religious liberty, it is important to remember that Islam has been a constant presence in Canada's history, from the days of our founding, until the present day, and this poll does not address the issue of religion in Canada.
Another important point is that it is the duty of Canadian citizens to keep this information confidential. For this reason, there are laws that mandate police and other state agencies to keep all such information confidential and to keep it from the general public. To be perfectly honest, many would not agree with this, especially since the government is not required to divulge information that may be of public interest to others. However, there is another argument that should be considered. For, if there are Muslims in Canada, and they don't share this kind of information, then they are only putting their lives at risk. I can say with confidence that, even if this poll was conducted without this information, we would see that indian matrimonial sites in canada a large percentage of those polled (30%) did not know that there were any Muslim people in Canada. This does not mean that there is nothing to discuss, but it is not the place for us to discuss it. To conclude, I will briefly state that the above information is accurate, and you should not consider it the end all, be all for discussing muslims. However, I will conclude with my own opinions and conclusions. I am not a muslim by blood, so I am not qualified to speak for muslims, nor am I qualified to discuss this information with you. When someone asks if Muslims are a religion or an ethnicity, and you don't say it is an ethnicity, you are giving up the possibility that this person is asking for an objective answer. If they ask about a religion, you are not really being objective, but instead a sheeple or dog. I think it is important for us to acknowledge that.
We need to do that. I don't say this as a criticism of any religion. I do say this because we cannot be objective without being open. We need to be open because the religion is not the same for every person. I am a believer in Islam. In fact, I am a practicing Muslim. It is my faith and it is the only faith I have. I am thankful that I have it. That being said, I am not religious. I have faith in my faith but I don't believe that it has anything to do with my relationship with Islam. I'm the daughter of an Irish priest and a Catholic Muslim. We came of age during the height of the Irish Civil Rights Movement. I was just a young teen when we lived in Dublin. We moved around the country often but always in an Irish Catholic family. The family was Catholic, but my parents are from Pakistan and my father was brought up in a very devout Muslim household. He was raised in a devout household.
